Default 2006 optra engine light flahsed?

Here is the thing my dad took my car today and told me he was on the highway and tryed to put the cruis control the engine light started flashing he then when to put gas and restarted it and engine light stayed on. I checked the code with my scanner its a p0133 o2 senor bank 1 low circuit im confused i thought that i would get another type of code like misfier or something ?? anyone know whats going on spark plugs are 1 year old and wiers also.

Hi. A flashing engine light indicates engine knock. A solid light indicates a problem with the engine. You pulled the code, that's good. Has it happened again? It's possible it was just a hick up from a faulty cruise control I would think. Have you ever used it before? There has been a recall on some of the steering column parts maybe that's the problem. You could call a dealer and see if your car is part of the recall. Let us know!
