Hey, new to the site! I have a question regarding my Daughter's 2006 Suzuki Forenza....Her airbag light went on and has stayed on, what can I look for to repair this problem and clear the icon on the dash? Thanks in advance to any and all help :D

hi triplem399 welcome to the forum! there is a known problem with the airbag system in these cars. unfortunately no recall was issued. but there was a TSB. i think it either has something to do with the sensor in the passenger seat or a problem with one of the cables, i forget which. i believe Suzuki has a fix for the problem. the best thing to do is to take it into a dealer and see what they say about getting it fixed. let us know what they say. any other questions just ask!

Thanks for the quick reply!!! I did contact a dealer yesterday regarding a TSB for the airbag system and they told me that there wasn't one???? Is there a specific TSB number I could get before I call the same dealership or a different one? Knowing there might be a TSB out there for this problem I'd like to prepare myself before calling again.

LOL!!!

I called the dealership today regarding this problem and they told me, based on the VIN, that there are no recalls for this problem. They quoted me a price of $130.00 for the diagnosis (but could be potentially more). After reading the service bulletin, I will try to see if there's something I can do.

Thanks for all the help.....much appreciated :D

#17? Intake Air Temperature (Sensor)

[ 17 ] AIR INTAKE / Temp sensor
Part Number: 1365285Z00

PARTS: Part included with air inlet assembly. $12.46

But I don't see a retainer, nor can you buy just that part but the WHOLE inlet assembly! :(

The sensor doesn't just PUSH / snap in?

Junkyard part maybe. ;)

Thanks! I've seen that diagram but it doesn't show the retainer clip :( I spoke to the dealership but they don't seem to know what I'm referring to. As for now I'm using zip ties to hold it in place and it's working but my Daughter is driving to AZ and I'd prefer to have the proper retaining clip. I've been to junkyards but no Forenzas to be found and other Suzuki models have the clip but a different design.

Sorry that I didn't start a new post for this but I forgot how :(

Thanks again!!!
