Default Compatibility of Nissan parts

I have scoured the Internet and called several dealers / shops in town and cannot get a satisfactory answer - I need a power lock actuator assembly for my 2009 Equator, and am trying to find out if a Nissan Frontier unit would be the same part. Everything I have read says they are basically the same truck with cosmetic differences only. Can I assume the mechanicals are the same?

With no knowledge about this particular truck, my best bet would be to take out the current power lock actuator and compare it to the Nissan part.
A picture of the internet could work, or better yet, take it to the Nissan stealership or any other store and compare it.

Even a generic $4 power lock actuator could fit there and do the work.
