I work for a company in Southeast Kansas, we're the largest commercial roofing company within several hundred miles, the only sanitation company (porta johns, storage containers, etc), and we own a good deal of commercial and rental property.
Approxiametely 9 months ago we decided to embark down the mini truck road. The owner and myself had both enjoyed the Suzuki Carry and Every while visiting the Phillipines. The owners wife is of that region and her uncle works for "Rossrica", a company that reconditions Suzuki Trucks.
We've been through a number of shipments now, each one with it's own variety of problems. We have an on-site shop employing 2 mechanics. We also have a large inventory of Carry parts...from points to wheel cylinders, to complete engine assemblies.
The trucks have all been painted, had the interior refurbished, a 3" lift kit, new tires/wheels, etc. The drivetrain however has not been touched, if they don't think it's broken they don't touch it. We've run the gamut on timing, fuel conditions, brakes, front ends, trannys, etc.
We do however have an outstanding issue. We're having trouble "dialing" in the carbs on most of the F5A trucks. We may adjust it one day only to find it won't start the next day without holding the accelerator to the floor. Does anyone have a good idea of where the carb should be? Should the choke be fully closed at cold? Any comments on carb adjustments would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
