Post Re: 4WD of Suzuki Carry light indicator always on

Hello Guys, newbie here, my question is what happen when your 4WD indicator is on even if the lever is down and the lock is off.
I can even turn the lock on & off even if the lever is down, but if I pull up the lever the diff lock is turn on and won't turn off, but when it is down I can turn off & on the diff lock, any problem with this. Thanks for any suggestion you may offer before I see a mechanic...

Are you sure it has disengaged?
My old landrover difflock light wouldn't go out if stationary... had to chage out of difflock and move it.. perhaps only a few Cm's until the transfer box had released. normally with a light clunk.
Further...
depending on what transfer box you have and how often 4wheel drive is used the cables /linkages get sticky.. so even if leaver has 'moved' the cable /linkage might not of released indicator switch..
just food for thought!!
