Default New to these funny looking things...

Well, I'm in America, and usually you don't see such a goofy looking thing...

Every day you hear someone bitching about gas prices... Then you see them walk out and get into their Cadillac Escalade or 1995 Chevy Suburban...

I'd LOVE to have myself a little 660cc 3-cyl miniature cab-over, especially with the 4wd, ultra-japanese look, and the rest...

There is a Suzuki Carry pickup and Mitsubishi equivalent for sale here in my town, which is what got me thinking about these... I also found a dealer in the next state south of me...

However, before I go ahead and buy one, I was wondering...

What kind of gas mileage do you guys normally get with your Carries?

What kind of horsepower do you say you have in it?

Got any good pictures of under the "hood (bonnet)?"

Is it the same engine as the ones in Geo Metros?

Is there an Isuzu-built equivalent? I'm somewhat of an Isuzu nut... :P

Thanks,
- CK

Well, I'm from the US but now live in the Philippines. My 4X4 4 speed carry gets about 13 KPL, or roughly 50 MPG. Not enough horsepower to maintain US hiway speeds, but plenty to haul 2000 pounds up a steep rugged mountain road. I'm not familiar with what is in the Metros. I'm sure there is an Isuzu equivelant, but I have never seen one.
