Wink tranny and distributor pics

I'm posting these pictures for three reasons:
1. For a guy who was asking about transfer cases and propeller shaft for 4x4.
2. Can anybody tell me what these extra tubes/hoses from the exhaust manifolds are and what are they for?
3. My Distributor: Mechanical or CDI?

Help, anyone.

@distributor:
I think its a CDI type as opposed to the "contact point" type... but just to be sure, you might need to remove the rotor and the plastic cover after that... =)

@extratubes... if your talking about the tubes on your exhaust manifold... I think those are for heating/heater purposes for colder countries... your exhaust does not have a passage for it but it just captures the hot air (atmosphere) that surrounds the manifold... I'm not really sure so please if anybody has an idea about it, tell us...

Talking Extra pipe

Greetings! If you are talking about that extra pipe in the picture, it might be a air intake preheater connection for cold climats, by getting the intake air hotter at startup, it reduces polution, and get you going quicker on a cold morning. My old car had similair connections that were still connected, should be a connection point on the air intake the same size.
