Cool Glaring Headlights

Is there a required adjustment for the driver side headlight inorder to
minimize the glare for an approaching vehicle?

Here in our place, some vehicles have very high glare "nakaka-bulag"
headlights. Is it a "universal sign" to make a "hi-low" with your lights
to warn the approaching vehicle?

in my case, i usually flash my headlights to oncoming vehicles who have hi-beam. if they do not low their beam as they past by, i honk at them longer until they pass my van.

yup, usually you should flash your lights to oncoming vehicles but never to high beam as well to get back at the driver. so far there is no incident in the road regarding flashing lights and high beams.

me, i flash my hi-beams for a fraction of a second maybe 2 or 3 times.... sometimes you'll get a response, but some drivers are too thick..

Unhappy

You mean thick face or "baga'g nawong", hehehe.
Yeah, I agree with you, some drivers are hard headed or
just merely playing dumb. Like you I also flash high beam for
1 second just to let them know "how it feels" to be
glared by 100W Super White Halogen bulbs. I even heard some
new motorcycle drivers adjust their hi-beams to actually focus
on the approaching drivers face . . . just to get back to those
hard headed ones. At any rate, we should be careful with this
type of scenario & succumb to slowing down until we can clearly
see the road.

Still I think some drivers are "unaware" that their lights aren't adjusted.

Absolutely! Actually when I bought my unit 11 months ago, it's already
equipped with size H4 Halogen bulb, but not yet Super white.
There are other color variations for you to choose, available at
most auto.shops.

Any experience about "nakakabulag na headlights" ther in your place??

You're right, got this from a link in this forum, it's Cebuano forum
I suppose 'coz all of them were using the Bisaya dialect just like us.
Actually it's very easy to install, but honestly the first time I let
the mechanic install it while I watched. From then on, I'm the one
changing my busted Halogen lights, "tipid pa sa bayad", hehe.
I gave him P50 the first time I have it changed.

Sorry, I remember, you're the one from North Cebu. . . am I right???
Quite confused 'coz you have the new avatar plus the astig signature,
hehehe. . .

I have experienced that also, (many times actually) the driver isn't
"sensitive" enough to understand what our flashes mean. I did the same
thing, "menor" then wait 'til he passes by, tsk, tsk, tsk. . .

It's quite dangerous to drive without seeing the road. There might be
someone lying on the road ("lasingero") . . .

Scaryyyy . . . .! ! !
