Hi all.
I'm a X-pat retired to Bohol Philippines. My wife and I just bought a 1996 (judging by the date on the seat belt) multi/double cab, 4X4, 5 speed, 4 door with the pick up bed and the K6A motor. We bought it at Strong Motors and so far we are happy with them.
I have a few questions that I hope the more learnerd can help me with.
I have the opportunity to buy a turbo made for the K6A. I understand I'll have to get a turo specific head. While I'm at it should I get it port and polished?
The dealer direct wired the radiator cooling fan to the ignition and pulled the thermostat, subsequently, the engine never gets up to operating temp. Has anyone got an option about this. It makes no sence to me.
Being old and a little spoiled, I'd like to know if I can add power windows with out braking the bank.
I've been looking on line for accessories with not much luck. Anyone in Cebu know of a place where I can get things like a bull bar, rear step bumper, a real molded carpet and seats that are a bit more comfortable?
One last thing. The A/C starts off cold but after about an hour it starts to fade to the point of just being cool.
Thanks in advance
Boston Mark

Greetings! What is the NAME of the vehicle you bought? Alto, Every, Scrum?
This section is mostly a Every, and Carry forum.
Please post a picture, one you took, or one from the web.
Our multi cabs have F6, not K6 motors.
Welcome to a future of constant frustrations if you begin to alter a working vehicle as very few original and no after market parts here.
The cooling fan bypass is a common hack by untrained workers that do not understand motor vehicles.
It can be undone if you redo the wiring, IF the thermostat and switch are still in place.

There are pages of post about cooling fan running all the time on this forum.
Good luck.

Hi Newsavedone,
My dear wife said that we have a Scrum. I'd post pictures but I can't figure how to do it. (old and not very smart)

With regards to the cooling fan motor, if you want it to operate like automatic once the it reaches the desired temperature, just check first if the Temp sensor still installed at the bottom side of the radiator then just cut the negative line going to the fan motor then fixed it directly on the temp sensor. One end to the cooling motor the other end to the ground. Once the temp sensor reaches the desired temp the cooling fan start to work as expected.
