Exclamation 1997 HA11 Suzuki Alto - Distributor

Hey guys!

Can anyone tell me what is inside distributor on a Ha11 Alto 660cc 12 valve engine?

I.e is it points etc or electric?

The reason I ask is car is missing a little bit when idling. I turned idle up a little but it's still there. Have new sparks plugs in and leads are good.

Any help appreciated,

Jimmy.

It will be electric, probably a hall effect sensor.

Sorry for being naive, but what is a hall effect sensor and where is it located?

Thanks,
Jimmy.

Its a magnetic sensor that will be located in the distributor, they are quite reliable and don't need adjusting.
