Default Replacing Suzuki Alto SZ 2014 gear stick knob

Hi guys, first time posting so apologies if this post isn't in the right forum. My query may seem a little bit basic, but I am rather curious whether the gear stick knob in my Alto 14 plate is replaceable. I've attempted to twist it but it remains firm and solid. I believe they must have used some form of glue when attaching it in place and that's why I wanted to ask before I go ahead and yank it out. Would force twisting it damage any other part of the gear stick or affect its functionality?
I just wanted to replace it with a bit more of a stylish one from Halford's as the one that comes default with the car isn't exactly to my taste, if I am able to remove it then do I need to use glue for the replacement or would it just screw on? I've never really done anything like this before and any little advice would be most welcome.
