Default '07 Aerio, swapping auto for manual transmission?

Was entertaining this idea recently, since I noticed once my auto gets up into 4th gear around 60MPH, she has almost no power. Makes getting from 60 to 80 on the interstate here a slog, and was hoping having that fifth gear the MT has, might give her a little more go up there, when she's not trying to accelerate at 3000-3500RPM..

What would be involved in doing this I wonder, though?

Its doable, but its a horrendous amount of work and will be expensive, new pedal assembly, ECU and wiring, all the rest of the clutch activating componentry, possible driveline components not to mention fining donor parts from the same year and model line.

cheaper to go buy a manual car.
