Default 97 geo tracker small "clunk" noise when start rolling

Good day everyone. We bought a gently (we think) used geo tracker (97) about 5 weeks ago with 67000 miles on the clock. Whsn we start rolling with it there is a slight "clunck" noise in the front. I have never owned a 4 wd before, is this normal? It does not (at least yet) seem to effect it in any way. It sounds like it is comming from the front left side. (It has automatic locking hubs). Any ideas? Is this normal? Info appreciated.

Noises are hard to diagnose online but there are a few things it could be. Does it happen every time you start moving? Do you hear it any other time such as braking or turning. Most of the time noises like this are suspension related. You might have a loose ball joint or tie rod end. It could also be brake related, such as a loose or broken caliper bolt. I would take it to a shop and have it looked at as soon as you can so it won't do any further damage or cause a safety problem.
