This is my cheap truck challenge entry. A healthy wager amongst friends. Truck acquired thru barter for labor. More rust than body. Good engine, decent miles, 1.6 8v, 5spd.
Parts total ~$2700.
8 months from start to current state as of 3/5/2017.
Nowhere near done, but she goes up a hill.

-There is an engine. A stock engine.
-Relocated radiator to behind passenger seat
-Baddasss silicone vaccum hoses. Not all of them, only some.
-A green air filter to match my green seatbelts.

-90% stripped, retained gauges and heater components ( i like me defroster)
-Relocated fuel tank to back seat area
-2x3 1/4 wall rectangle tube rollbar
-Ebay 4 point harnesses
-Excessive LED dome lighting, i love light
-Random clinometer i found
-2005 Pontiac Vibe floormats

-Boatsides framed out(no skin yet)
-Considerable tire clearance applied throughout
-Front clip tapered ~3inches
-Spare tire relocated to roof
-I let the rust show me where i wanted weight reduction... the body is really only there in spirit

Trying to make the clutch cooperate can be entertaining, I suppose

Wheres the Drivetrain section...
-Welded front, open rear, factory 5.13s
-stock tcase for now

-Hagen widening mod, on acid... LCA rear mounts moved outboard 1 inch, Homemade-shortside-3bolt stubshaft, lowered front diff, Grand Vitara C/V's(oops)...which lead to me moving the ball joints out 1.5" to fit the c/v's that are too long cause i ordered the wrong part and they're cheaper so i'm not returning them, i made them work.
-Sidekick 4-door coils all around.
-Front struts: 94 Grand Prix rears, monroe, flipped upper mount.
-Rear shocks: Walker Evans 2.0 Emulsion 10" travel(scored 4 for 50$)
-Sway bar re-purposed in shop for menial tasks.

-235/75r15 retread muds from tirerecappers.com($350 for 5 shipped to my door), mounted on Samurai rims, flipped in the rear with 1.25" wheel spacer(to try and match the front width).
-Free (3)33x12.5r15 Procomp mud-terrains, (1)33x12.5r15 MudKing?, mounted on 15x8 Eaton 32-bolt beadlocks(not free).
