History
This Sidekick is a JX 16V Soft Top with G16B engine, 4WD and 5sp. manual. Built in Canada.
It was bought new in 1995, but after more than 24 years of daily use and abuse it was almost ready for the scrapper.
We decided to keep the car and restore it completely since the body and chassis were rust free and it was not missing any parts.
Since I had already set up the Patrol as an upgraded off roader the Sidekick is left mostly stock and will be used for small errands and short weekend trips with very occasional light off road use, if any.
As the car is not worth much I did most of the work myself to keep costs down and enjoy a great hobby in the process.

Engine rebuild
Brakes rebuild
Replaced shock absorbers
235/60r15 Cooper Cobra tires and the old American Racing wheels polished/painted
Complete fuel system service with new fuel pump
Cooling system serviced
AC repaired
Paint job in another period correct Sidekick color
Interior still in one piece so removed and steam cleaned
Grant GT steering wheel replaced with a new one. Surprised they still make them
Rampage soft top and repaired/replaced broken plastic soft top retaining trim
Vinyl spare tire cover
Single DIN Pioneer and Rockford Fosgate speakers
Door rubbers, window rubbers and window regulators replaced
