hi people, im new to the site so i will start with a tricky one.
I had a little 2door suzuki vitara (93) and loved her to death. literally. something went faulty and one morning she would not start, then after trying to clutch her down the road (yes, we do no how to clutch a car!) her carby flooded (there was also fule leaked into the exhaust) and we are guessing the started motor had siezed (would not turn over) and over heated, heating up the leaking fule and BANG! she was incinerated.
so i got me a 4 door vitara estate wagon (93). just weeks after purchasing her, we had the radiator replaced (it was falling to pieces) and a hotdog installed (gives her a real nice booming hum)
but, she is consuming 13 liters per 100km! thats almost as much as our Mitsu Pajero! Now, i swear its not my driving, im really not a hoon and am quite easy on her. and she rarely goes off road ( ) i drive at low reves as i like to hear the rumbling the hotdog makes. the hotdog can be held accountable for some increase in fule consumption, but not that whole amount.
come on people, what are your thoughts, will i have to remove the hotdog or can it be something els causing this (financial) problem?
(injectors and what not were cleaned after hotdog was installed, so about a month ago. made no real difference)
