Default Replacing Body Control Module 2011Grand Vitara

Flashers and indicator lights stopped working. Fuse good. Replaced flasher relay. Still not working. Took to garage and code indicated bad Body Control Module. Ordered part which will be in Thursday. Is this a plug and play part, or does the Module require dealer programming?

I thought the only part the BCM played with the indicators is to make them flash with the remote locking. The 2011 is older than what I know my manuals cover, so may be different. The indicator relay is shown as the same as the earlier ones in the parts lists though.

I can't honestly say if the BCM can just be swapped.
Hopefully somebody can give you a better answer.

Welcome to the forum.

Well, it wasn't the BCM! Out 800.00 now and not any closer to a fix. Anyone have other ideas as to a diagnosis? Replaced BCM and flasher relay. Fuse is good. I'm stumped.

Had a nasty feeling the BCM only makes them flash unlocking or locking. This diagram hopefully is still relevant for your year. I can only suggest checking the power and earth/ground to the indicator relay plug, something's got to be missing.
