Smile tranny cooler necessary? 97 tracker

I have a 97 tracker 4 wd, automatic that I am going to pull a small utility trailer. Max will be 1000 pounds (I know the tracker is rated for 2000 pounds). Do I really need a tranny cooler? responses appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

If it's rated for it the way it came from the factory, I would guess it would not be an issue. Thats an uninformed viewpoint from someone who has a double core cooler on his car. Cooler the transmission is, the happier it is. Grab one from the junkyard for $5 and don't worry about it is my opinion on the subject. Unless you've gotta tap it for a cooler, then, I'm all outta ideas.

Semerm as long as your tranny fluid is in good condition you have no need to worry, your tracker should have a dual core radiator and thus already has a tranny cooler.
