Default Turbo?

i have an 05 forenza, lowered, catpacks, APR spoiler, Knn Intake, short shift and lots of interior work, i decided to take a forenza because no one has one and tuning is all about seeing what you can make out of an average car performance wise so these cars have really stood out to me, and i was wondering though if any one has seen or has pictures of a turboed forenza?

Garret makes turbos for them and i was wondering if anyone had one to tell me how it handled in the car.....

they make the t25 and t28...

First welcome to the board. There are a few works in progress for the turbo forenza, Check out the Reno and forenza part of the forum. Our very own Kinky is working on his setup as well as a few other, I'm sure they could fill you in on everything.

Impressive setup considering you probably did all the research yourself without the help of the forums considering you only have a couple posts.

One guy claimed he had a turbo on...but hasn't shown up with pictures yet so who knows. Another member is just trying to get bigger injectors and his turbo is all hooked up just not running any boost. I'm waiting for my gauge pod to get finished, gotta cut the intercooler piping to fit, installl everything, make an appointment to have my exhaust welded togather, and get an appointment to have it tuned. Hopfully I don't run into any problems. Will start on 6psi and done some other mods to the car like port the manifolds, finish the rear big brake kit, tune the suspension...then I will get an better oil pump, a new block so I can start installing my rods and pistons so the car won't have any down time. Then that'll allow me to make 275whp easy on pump gas. I picked my turbo for a max of 15psi if I remember correctly...so either I'll just run it at 12psi untill I can afford the disco potato turbo or just suck it up and buy one when I installed the pistons/rods.

yep i did all of it on my own, it was a bitch too.

so adding a turbo will definetly require a load of work, since the motor is not obviously factoried to accept or perform with one.

get me some picks when you get it settup.

what turbo did you get?

I was looking at one of the T28 garrets.

I have all the specs of the turbo written some where but its basicly a cheap t3/t4 hybrid. I'll probably upgrade to the disco patato when I can find one with the right flange and afford it.

Well it's not that hard to run a turbo at all...you just gotta do all the work yourself or pay a shop too much to do it all for you.

Hey man, I'm the guy that kinkillama said clamed to have a turbo installed. Sorry, I've not posted any pictures. I haven't been able to get my Suzuki Forum page to work right. I do however, have a full turbo setup in my 05 Reno. If you want to see pics, check it out on www.cardomain.com User name 232337912 and Caption name "Truly turbocharged Suzuki Reno New Pics" Right now I'm ashamed to say... But I'm only pushing 4.5 lbs out of my Garrett GT28R, due to a fuel/air management problem. I've researched many ave, and can't find a safe and easy fix. I have decided to go with a custom fuel rail, housing 550 injectors, and an air flo limiter. This, in theory, should allow me to safely boost up to 12 lbs. Don't know yet, but we'll see. If you have any suggestions please let me know...

Great turbo for the car...though even on 12psi it seams a bit big. Also 12psi is way to high with the stock compression...8psi is the safe LIMIT...even still I'd get arp connecting rod bolts as several dawoo owners with as little as 6psi have snapped theres.

What exaclty is the fuel/air management problem? what are you using for tuning?
