Default Novice in Need of Help (Lacetti)

Hiya folks,

This will probably sound pretty dumb and basic after reading other peoples threads but i still need help with it. I own a Chevrolet Lacetti (Elite). It has a Blaupunkt cd player and I recently bought a much better sterio. However, I can't get the old sterio out.

When I remove the face plate there are four pin holes. I have bought two sets of removal tools (even made sure one set was specifically for blaupunkt radios) but have had no joy. The 'prongs' are meant to click inside the holes and then the radio pulls out but they don't click at all and I've tried using a lot of force.

Should I be looking at removing parts of the dashboard or is there an easier way????

I'd appreciate any feedback.....Thanks
