Default Honda Fit S

What do you guys think about a 07 Honda Fit S. My wifes car is about to die so we are looking at the Fit It has a few performance parts and some nice body kits out for it. The car its self is slow stock but 32/38 gas mileage is sweet.

I haven't driven a Fit, so I can't really comment on its attributes. However, I would suggest that you include the Suzuki SX4 in your car shopping. I've owned mine for six months, and it's a sweet ride.

Try comparing the two vehicles at TrueDelta.

I looked at the Fit before ultimately deciding on the SX4.

Even though the two cars cost about the same amount, Honda had no incentives for the car and were not willing to negotiate on the price. I got a much better deal on the SX4.

Of course, the Suzuki doesn't get quite the gas mileage of the Fit, but IMO it's a much more exciting car (with AWD to boot). They are also starting to come up with performance parts for the SX4 if that interests you.

I looked at the FIT, and did not like it, and like MO said, Honda is not letting on the MSRP. I ended up buying a Nissan Versa, and you know what that car is GREAT! I got it about $700 under MSRP, there really is not any profit on the car as it is, but the dealer threw in free window tint, and a free nose mask. Gas mileage is in the same ballpark, about 30MPG mixed. Also I have spoken with other Fit owners, and they just as Versa owners, do not get the 32/38 MPG, I believe my personal best tank was 32MPG, but I have talked to other Versa owners, and I believe the best I heard was 42MPG.
