I meant USB not bluetooth.

I've researched this a bit since my wife now has a 5, and it looks like you need the Apple version of the lightning to old connector to get it to work. On other makes, this solves the issue. I haven't gotten it yet for ours, but plan to try it out.

MadocOwain Discovered that a reset of the iPod did the trick, audio now plays.

Having the exact same issue BUT..

I have an iPod (pre-Thunderbolt connector) that I've plugged into the USB port on the R-F head, 2010 Kizashi, that has this same issue. Worked great for years except if you turned the car off then back on again it would sometimes display "ERROR 2" until I unplugged and replugged in the iPod. Now, the connection to the head appears to work in that the head can control the iPod, display titles/songs, skip, etc but there's now no audio! This morning, it quit allowing me to switch from FM to USB - pushing the button does nothing, even after turning off/on again.

After I read more in the forums I'll decide what to do but my initial gameplan is to switch cables (though iPod w/cable works fine connected to PC), and if necessary pop the fuses. I have a different iPod I could connect as well to verify the issue's with the head/dash not the iPod.

jza80 I'm guessing that you have the version with the Kenwood head unit with navigation. If so, that unit may not be compatible with the new iPhone lightning connector. You will probably need to replace the head unit with a newer version Kenwood navi (they will plug in, but it will be a little expensive). This is what I will ultimately do if I decide to keep my car - this will also get you bluetooth and other features that are missing on the Kenwood used by Suzuki.

Trouble with iPhone 5s with ios7

I have a Kizashi SLS and just got an iPhone 5s. I used to use my old iPhone 4S to play pandora through the stereo but my new phone won't play. It shows on my touchscreen that it's playing and I can switch songs but there is no audio.

I have tried:
1) plugging the USB from my phone in to my glove compartment hookup, no audio but shows up that it's playing,
2) buying an adapter to plug it directly into the iPod cord from my glove compartment, same result as above
3) plugging my old iPhone 4 into the iPod cable, which plays still so it isn't the cable.

Any suggestions or ideas?
