Default i need an 85 chevy sprint 3 way fuel pump

my sprint keeps stalling out when it stops. I've replaced the filters, catalytic converter, and gave it a full tune it.

i think my problem is the fuel pump. everywhere i look, people want to sell me a 2 way fuel pump, but mine is a 3 way.
i took it out, and messed with it, and the pump lever seems hard to press and the pump wheezes when i force the lever in.

does anyone know where i can find the correct 3 way pump, or how to fix it??

Have you bothered to use a fuel pressure gauge to diagnose???

The fuel gauge hasn't worked for the past year, which is all the time I've owned the vehicle.

the dash gauge only displays approx level in tank, I am referring to a pressure test gauge used to diagnose the pump out put... surely your mechanic knows how to use one..

I don't see a fixture to attach it. I will be seeing a mechanic Thursday. I'll see if we can use his. Thank you.

And if the pump isn't working, do you know where I can get one, or how to fix that one (or someone who might, that I can send it to).

if its "wheezing" when you press the lever its pumping. What do you mean by "3 way pump"? one hose in, one hose out and maybe a return to the tank.

Have you actually checked flow and pressure? pumps usually fail totally not at low revs. As this is a carbed car, how long does it take to stall when you stop? the carb fuel bowl should allow it to run for 30 seconds at least and then the revs will rise just before it runs out of fuel.

and the pump you have is a sealed unit, non repairable.
