I'm sorry I missed this post. You have some serious things going on and I hope they can get you stabilized.
I've had 17 or 18 surgeries in my lifetime, none life-threatening except for appendicitis when I was 15.
But all have gone well. I have a high rate of cancer in my family and that concerns me the most. So far, I've gotten away with some skin cancer which was removed and a spot in my stomach turned out to be O.K.
I'll just keep doing what I do until something gets in the way. In a few weeks, we're heading out on a 6000 mile motor home trip. since 1988 we've put 250,000 miles on 3 motor homes. Our '98 Winnie Class C has about 120,000 an all I've ever done to it is spark plugs at 60,000 and an idle control valve. It's in now for plugs again. It's more than I want to do since the fuel rails have to come off. Dealer price is $550.00. (Ford V10.)
Holy crap on the head pressure! They MUST have bypassed the HP switch. I'll look for that post you mentioned. In this case the shake was attributed to overworking the compressor though, as you found out after bleeding off some charge. Surprised that the belt wasn't screaming with slippage too.
im thinking about getting a 99 2door with the 2.0l, can you give me any input on it's power (at least compared to the earlier 1.6)? I live in the mountains in Costa Rica so I need to be able to haul up mountains all the time.
