This is a group buy, I need at least 3 people. The more people the cheaper the price. We need at least 3 people and if we get that it'll be $160 (w/o shipping). The price will not fall below $150.

The wires are red 8.5mm magnecors. They will give a slight increase over stock, though on a mostly stock engine the increase is little. However they will last much longer than stock.

Are you talking about these?

http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/main.htm

Sounds real good.

But is it at all possible to get Black or Blue? Red just wouldn't go with my color scheme...heh I supose it won't matter much cause they'll be like 90% hidden by the OPC cover.

Either way, count me in. I don't like the wires that are in there now. I was going to get a wire kit today actually, but $99 and having to figure it out myself wasn't appealing.

Yes those are them. Sorry, only red... I really wish other colar were available. I also have red wire.. which match NOTHING in my car which is all blue.

I was going to go with MSD build yourself kit but I think its a bit tacky as you use the stock conductors.

There are cheaper wire sets available but personally I dont think they'd give much of a gain or last as long. The magnecor are the best option for our car in my opinion which is why I chose them. I recommend upgrading the spark plugs while your at it.

Yeah I tried to buy NGKs today and the local PepBoys didn't have them for the Reno/Forenza/Nubira...

I'll probably order them online. How'd you get yours?

As for the wires. I agree, those are by far the best I've seen and looks like they address EMI and RFI very well, so I'll be happy. Really, the extra $60 is worth it to not have to rig up my own set of lesser quality.

I plan to not have to change them again for a LONG time.....heh

I dont even know what kinda plugs I have.. I havnt worried about them. They're performance drops off so fast that they get pricy to replace all the time so I havnt bothered in along time. But I got them at autozone or pepboys.

Thats the nice thing, they will last alot longer than stock.

I'm shocked no1 else has shown intrest yet. There are at least 5 people intrested in spark wires in the last two weeks alone.

I think we have Delco Platinums to begin with, which really aren't all too bad. But I've got my eye on some NGKs if I can find em. I'm almost positive they're out there. Maybe a quick message to Tom would shed some light.

You'd think there'd be more people chiming in here, but they might not be noticing this part of the forum. Maybe a message in the general forum pointing to this one?

Oh wait, you said you PMd everyone who said they were interested. Tell them to get their butts in here!....lol

NGKs are probably the best, I think its the V-groove or something? I beleive thats what lanos/nubira owners recommend with the magnecors

Yeah I know, I'm suprised your the only one. Maybe they were expecting something cheaper? I've seen wires for like $60 but personally I dont think they'll last as long as stock and who knows on performance.

I cant post things like that in that part of the forum. I should ask the admin if we can put a classfieds section in the forenza/reno area since there are so many members there.

Hell, I'll put a link in my signature if it helps...heh

$60 wires can be crap. Depends who makes em.

Magnecors are held in regards as the best wires you can get for the money from everything I've read. I just can't believe they're $160 when I'm seeing them on eBay for other 2.0L engines at like $75 or less...

But that probably has to do with buying power. I'm sure if we could buy hundreds of sets (to resell or otherwise) then they'd come down in price.

I know, I've seen them as low as $40 for a 4cyl.
