Question AutoLifeRX

Has anyone on the Forum had experiences with AutoLifeRX (5yr/100,00 mile Engine & Transmission Warranty)? I purchased it with my purchase of my 02 XL-7.
I was told it was a drivetrain extended warranty, so in the first week of owning the vehicle I had to replace a Right front wheel bearing and the shop called them to see if the labor and parts were covered and told no, that the bearing assembly was not part of the warranty. I figured it might be a good thing to have on the vehicle if coverage is as good as they say it is? I have had factory warranties before and been a good thing to have, especially after the main warranty expired and the fuel system went junk and was covered in full-this was a good thing for me!
Finally receiving the warranty coverage paperwork in the mail this week, I discovered it only covers Waterpump, Engine & Transmission/Transfer case but not the front and rear ends or parts or electrical parts.
The biggest downfall is you must have the engine oil/filter & transmission service changed by a ASC certified mechanic for warranty to be covered. (I like to do my own 3000 mile oil/filter changing and change trans fluid and clean filter every 12000 miles, but I must have printed out receipts from a commercial company? Hand written receipts not accepted.
Give me your take on this policy, $1000 for 5yr and/or 100,000 miles coverages (only $17USD a month)

So, you purchased and " EXTENDED WARRANTY " , .
Notice the key word here is EXTENDED.
The word Extended would relate to an extension of something, in your case this would be an extension of the warranty provided on your vehicle under the terms of your sales contract. That warranty may have been 3 years and 36 thousand miles, this factory warranty would need to first elapse BEFORE an extended warranty and the terms of its coverage would apply to any and all required repairs. Under no circumstances would an extended warranty be used in place of a factory warranty and a dealer could not apply warranty repairs and their associated costs to any other warranty, especially an extended warranty, which would not be valid and would not go into effect untill the original warranty had expired.
As such, your issue with the providers of the extended warranty contains to validity and the dealer is obligated to provide you with warranty repairs until such a time as you would need to seek warranty repairs from the extended warranty provider.
