Default JVC KD-AVX77 El Kameleon

I recently installed a JVC KD-AVX77 El Kameleon DVD/CD/USB Receiver in my 1989 Suzuki Sidekick. The El Kameleon has a 5.4-Inch Monitor, Proximity Sensor, Touchscreen Controls, Built-in Bluetooth and an iPod/iPhone USB 2.0 interface. I've posted some pictures of the installed receiver.

Here is a side view of the El Kameleon. The USB port pictured is only a recharger and is not part of the receiver.

When the transmission is placed in reverse, the rear camera view is displayed on the monitor.

The backup camera was purchased separately but connects to the receiver. The backup sensor is included with the receiver.

A few wallpaper scenes are available or you can upload your own wallpaper. Displayed on the monitor is a night scene.

This wallpaper scene is that of a country road.

Here's a close-up of the monitor.

If you look carefully, you will see that I'm listening to 97.1 "WASH FM." Notice that the monitor can display military time (24-hour clock) at your choosing.

Here's a close-up of the road scene.

In the post above, I mentioned that when my car is placed in reverse, the El Kameleon displays the view from the rear-facing camera. Here is the monitor view again.

The rear view camera is installed in the hub of the spare tire that is mounted in the back of the Sidekick.

Here is a close-up of my spare tire.

Here is a close-up of the hubcap. The rear view camera is mounted just below the word "IN."

The camera installed in the center cap of the spare tire is the Metra "Third Eye" Small Bullet Camera (TE-SBC). The Metra TE-SBC is available from Amazon. It is not part of the JVC stereo kit.
