Question Issues with ipod interface

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a 2010 suzuki swift and had the dealer install the clarion ipod interface (EA1276). I have been using a 80G ipod classic and have found that the display freezes randomly and I am unable to skip tracks or even change mode (by both steering wheel controls or head unit controls). The song continues to play but the elapsed time of track stops on display. I've found that all I can do is wait for it to sort itself out to change tracks. I'm not sure if it's because my ipod wasn't a listed compatible model or if the unit is faulty. Can anyone help me out? Don't want to purchase a new ipod if it's actually the unit.

Also, should the display be showing the track title when playing songs? Mine only says ipod and the elapsed time of track. Any advice would be greatly appreciated : )
