Default Forenza 05 Radio/CD player problems

Okay, about a week ago, my radio/CD player completely died. I can't even get the CD out. I was told that since both went out, it was probably a fuse. So I found my fusebox, which is next to the battery, but I can't find anything that suggests a radio/CD fuse.

The diagram looks just like this: http://www.wiringdiagrams21.com/wp-c...t-fuse-box.png

Except there's an IGN coil fuse. But no radio/CD player fuse, unless I'm really missing something. Is it located somewhere else, is there even a fuse for it? This has been a very frustrating experience and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

The reason you can't find those fuses is because you're lookin' in tha wrong fuse box. Open your driver side door and look at the side of the dash. There's another fuse box right there. Take the cover off and you'll see the fuse you want. If you need help identifying which fuse it is, on the back of the cover that you just pulled off, there's a diagram that shows you what each fuse is used for. Hope that helps.

lol, amusingly, right after I posted that, I went to leave and noticed it.

Nothing seems wrong with the Radio and radio/clock fuses though. Are there any other fuses that might affect the radio/CD player and is there anything I can do to maybe fix it short of taking it in?

Thanks for your time.

Unlike most aftermarket head units, our stock radios do not have an external fuse in the back of the deck, so if the fuses are not blown in the fuse box, then it seems your H.U. just gave out. If you don't want to take it in to tha dealership, then just inspect the H.U yourself. Take the dash trim off, pop the AC cables out, unplug the 3 wires, and the radio will be fully accessible. Then just check the power/remote wires, etc. until you find the problem. If nothing looks faulty and none of the wires work when bypassed, then you should look into a new deck, and replace it yourself since everything's already taken apart...I've heard about the H.U's just quitting before on this forum, and unfortunately, I don't think it's covered by any warranty. :/
