Default Do I need a module ?

I have a 2007 xl7 without subwoofer, no on star and no steering wheel controls. I want to remove my single CD player and install a Pioneer head unit. Will a wiring plug be ok or do I need the 80.00 black box. I could care less about turn signal chimes .

Ok so after looking at the module diagram it appears that if I do t use the module that all I'll loose is the sear belt chimes " yeah me " turn sign clicks which I don't hear anyway and my aftermarket radio will turn off when the key does not play till the door is opened all which I can handle. Oh yeah and I may have to have my windows rolled up before I cut the car off I'm 46 years old I do that anyway. I'll report back this afternoon and let you guys know.

The module is only needed to keep the radio playing until you open the door that's it.
