Default WTB Sidekick / Tracker 4 pin axle nut tool

Doing CV's next week and want to see if anyone has the 4 pin axle nut tool.

I see them on Ebay for 50 bucks

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Axle-Nut-Wh...FVywD9&vxp=mtr

If anyone has one they probably wont use any more I'll buy it from you for 20.

I only need to use it once and feel bad getting brand new tool for one use.

If you want it back I'll pay for shipping both ways if you're ok with lending it for a week or two.

Thanks.

Im new to the sidekick, and to 4wd's in general.

I took of the locking hub and did not see anything that looked like it could be removed using a this 4 pin tool.

All I need to do is remove the CV, which in my experience has a big axle nut on the end of the shaft, but this shaft isn't even threaded.
So I might not even need a tool at all.

It should look like this

The tool is for removing the wheel bearing and I'm sure it should fit yours, However you don't need to remove them to do the CV's
I'll see if I can find a link for more info on the CV replacement.
Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully somebody can give you a few tips on doing this job, here is what the 1991 Vitara manual has to offer. I don't believe the 1997 Tracker is any different but I'm sure somebody will point out if the is any differences.

Awesome! Thank you guys.

I've replaced CV's before and the hardest part of the job has always been getting that huge long seized axle nut off.

If I don't need the tool for this job then I should be O.K.

My wheel bearings appeared OK based on checking free play at 12 and 6 oclock so I'll leave them be.

Fortunately at least the left hand side driveshaft requires very little to get off
