I can't fix the rings, the job is too big for my setup.
I don't want to give this semi classic car to the pick a part...
Everything works except the rings, here is a link to the work done;
the car has no rust and has been kept up with oil changes, brake jobs, shocks and ball joint lube. I suspect the rings were damaged at 70k miles when I bought it and I have kept it alive until 140k miles, until they finally just sheared apart. The cylinder walls look scratched and it can't hold compression.
If anyone wants a parts car I will sell it for whatever the pick a part offers me.
Portland location, just reply if you want. I know pick a part wont offer much so you could get a sweet parts car or a sweet new car if you can fix the rings yourself for virtually no money. I Know some people on this site live in Portland and are real mechanics.
