Default Running J20 Without Coolant?

This may seem like an insane question, but before I mount all the accessories, belts, fan, rad, shroud, etc. I'd like to see if my (newly installed) valve & timing chain covers are leaking. Q: Can I run the engine without coolant for 15 or 30 seconds... long enough to circulate some oil & see if anything is leaking?
Thanks!

NO.....

these things will warp a head or crack a block almost instantly with no water

you can leave shrouds and belts off for a short run, just make sure its got water in it.
