Default Where is fuse box?

I have a 2009 Swift 1.3 Petrol. I am in the UK. The left indicator is flashing quickly, with the front indicator not working.

I read in the owner's manual there is a fuse box inside the car. I can't find it! Supposed to be on the driver's side, above the bonnet release. Above the bonnet release is a a big piece of plastic that goes all the way from the door (on the right), across, under the steering wheel, to the centre console. It is one piece of plastic with a cut out under the steering wheel for the steering wheel adjuster.

If you lay on your back in the footwell and look up, there are loads of wires above the bonnet release catch. There is, presumably, a fuse box there. How on earth are you supposed to access it?

Thanks for any help.
