I don't know the ins and outs of this particular model, however, as with most vehicles, the tracks that the window slides in, get gummed up with dirt and grime over the years and put more strain on the system, so it draws a higher current making it think it's come to the top and to shut off. Most of the time you can assist the window by manually pushing it up or down whilst using the switch which will reduce the current required and the sensor may not cut it out. When the window is down, get some dry silicone spray and spray in all the tracks, as well as down the track on each side with the extension nozzle. Then operate window up and down a few times and see how you go.
One other problem, depending on the system, sometimes they use motor position to determine top and bottom, if it has jumped a gear or slipped it would need to be reset by a special procedure when the window is fully down. This would most likely be in the service manual. Try some dry lube first and see how you go, others may chime in with more info on this particular system. If it works out, don't forget to lube your other windows up as well.
