I've only owned my Suzuki Wagon R+ for 3 months. The vehicle was purchased second hand, however, it's now going to be on it's THIRD gearbox!
This vehicle has only coverd 32,000miles!!!
I purchased it with 29,451 miles on the clock. So far the hydraulic chain tensioner has failed...which in turn helped ruin the cam gears. Then at 31,000 miles, the first gearbox went. It failed to shift into gear and then seized.
I put this down to bad luck.
As Suzuki UK want £1300+VAT, I purchased a 2nd hand box with a full service history, it had only coverd 30,289 miles.
Friday just passed, it failed going into 2nd gear.
This happend with my mother on board on a major roundabout, on the way to registar my grandmothers death.
I contacted a Suzuki dealerdhip and was then told that "Oh that is a COMMON problem, it's a component failure, where the grubs screws near the main shaft fail, snap and fall into the gears!"
So, should I complain or just spend yet more money on a POORLY designed component???
Cheers
