Shaman is on a distinguished road
Default AZ Wagon (Wagon R) Owner with a question

I recently bought a 1995 Mazda AZ Wagon, and I am trying to get her into tiptop shape. I am really happy that I found a website. I am trying to get the engine de-gunked, and back into good shape. Now, I have the questions. Does anyone know the thread pitch on the oil filter? I am trying to find some cheaper alternatives back in the states, but two different thread pitches are turning up. Some sources are saying it’s a 20mm * 1.5mm and some are saying it’s a ¾ * 16 pitch. I am going to run a bypass filter setup on it, and the sandwich adapter needs a ¾ * 16 filter. It’s perfect if the filter is already a ¾* 16, but if it isn’t I need to X-reference it and see what it comes out to. Can anyone shed some light on this?
