1999 Grand Vitara -A/C vents keep moving

I have a 1999 Grand Vitara. My A/C vents keep pointing up and every time I put it back to the position I want, 10 seconds later they are up again. Does anyone know how to fix the A/C vents so they wont move automatically?

Mine did that too! I took small o-rings (about 1/2" in outer diameter if I remember correctly) from a kit I have, made one cut (through the cross-section to open them up so to speak) and pushed em' into that gap where the vents pivot up and down. This takes up the slack and provides a resistance to the vent assy moving on it's own. They are black, so not really noticable. That was two years ago and all is well still.
