06' GV Gas Gauge Issue
My gauge said that i had a quarter tank of gas left, so while I was out already I went ahead to fill her up. Turn off the car, fill up with 93 fuel $39 11.74 gallons, everything normal....turn on the car to go to my next errand, once I start it my gauge only shows that I still have a quarter tank of gas. Then slowly as I start driving it starts to creep higher, turn off the car once I stop, then once I go to turn it back on it goes back creeps back up to about 1/4 tank again....in about a 15 minute drive home it only went up to the 1/2 way mark.
Once I got home my husband looked at it, turned it off, then on and it only went to the half way point yet again. He checked the gas tank to make everything was closed and all was fine there.
Any one else have this issue or know why it would be doing this?
Incase it matters---I have about 38000 miles on the car, out of warranty
