Default Radio stopped working?

Hi, any one have experience with the radio not working on the 06 G.V.?
It was fine in the morning (during a 45 minute commute through freezing rain), then after work, no radio.
It is on and the cd goes on but nothing comes out of the speakers. Then 20 minutes into the drive home it came back on.
Then later that evening, doesn't work and this mornings commute, doesn't work? I will call the Dealer and inquire,
Thanks!

Default

I just had the same exact problem on my 06' GV as well 2 weeks ago.....I tried EVERYTHING. After a week of waiting for an appt at the dealership(still no sound) I finally got in and they tried to quote me 5-600 for a new radio, and I was out of warranty. I decided not to do that because I can get a nicer(touch screen, navi etc system put in for 5-600 instead of the oem one). They also told me they would check with the company that makes the systems to see if they had a warranty for them (they never got back to me) but then about 2 days later my sound came back on and has been working for the past week or so since I took it in.
So now I'm thinking that it was just a loose wire because it seemed to work right as I hit a bump(maybe it got bumped back in to place) or possibly a fuse loose?

So I would check to make sure the wires are all in tight, as wells as the fuses(i couldn't find one for the sound itself though). Make sure you ask if its under warranty BEFORE they even look at it---they tried to make me pay $94 just for sitting there waiting for it when they could have just told me it wasnt under warranty when I made the appt.

Let me know if theres any other questions you have about this issue, dont let the dealership run you in circles. And watch your gas gauge--now I'm having a problem with that!
