Hi, Just a few questions from a newbie
Just bought a 2.0 16v grand vitara with autobox
year 2001 (xreg) only got 21k on the clock and is in great condition - no signs of offroad damage. I have a few questions though.
What are these auto boxs like? this one seems a bit jumpy and seems to rev too hiigh before changing also seems to change up and down really easily - I'm used to a manual though so....
After a good drive up and around the hills around here there is a kind of hot smell that i can't quite place comingfrom the engine and the engine seems to run really hot. Any ideas?
Not sure if the car has ABS but if it has it ain't working - looked under bonnet and couldn't see an obvious abs unit just servo and brake pipes coming out (Sales sheet stated abs)
The rear brakes seem to either come on harder than fronts or are grabbing so that under heavy braking on wet roads they lock up like youv'e put on the handbrake or something - any ideas what thats about?
Sorry to ask these questions all at once but any help is most gratefully recieved.
