Default Removal of Grille

Anyone have any tips on pulling it straight out? I've got pretty big hands and it's tough to get a grip on it. I'd hate for it to crack or to have one of those barbed plastic bolts snap. Any ideas for tools that would work well?
My friend took it off last time when I wasn't watching, but he also has quite smaller hands.

it's attached in 4 places by plastic friction connectors if I remember correctly. I replaced my A/C compressor and had to pull the grille. The connectors are equally distributed starting outside edge, inside edge of headlights and opposite outside edge. You can try to pull a bit at a time at those 4 locations and work it off if you are afraid of cracking it. It's pretty tough though

Positive attitude helps. If possible, remove the grille when it's moderately warm rather than first thing on a cold morning.

A Canadian perspective...

Default remove grille

I use two screwdrivers bent at the tip in an "L" shape. Slide one above and one below the grille at each of the five lower attachment points and pull sharply. The fastener will pop out of its hole. Proceed across until all five have been released and the grille will slide out.

I use plastic trim tools to pull it(Pry it) off the corners and center point.

I just pulled mine off today to replace the clear forward marker light bulbs. I noticed that it has small cracks that have started to work there way around the plastic near the 2 outer plastic clips. I pulled the clips off, and plan to come up with a better way to attach the outer ends of the grill.

Regards,

Ivan
