Not had a problem with road noise with our various models that we have owned - bumpy suspension perhaps! Last time I had road noise was a long time ago in a Land Rover with very chunky mud tyres (can't remember the make) that gave a loud "rumble", but most modern A/T tyres are no noisier that highway tyres. Any make of tyre will give a certain amount of rumble noise, check out the website mytyres.co.uk - Tyres for PASSENGER CARs cheap, bargains, look + save where various tests are published for different makes of tyres, including a rating for road noise.

Mechanically, worn shocks, joints, etc can give different noises on different surfaces, so check them out.

Even false teeth kept in a glass in the cup holder, give off a noise on bumpy roads

road noise is a very subjective opinion. What you may think as loud is may not be loud to the next guy. I don't think My XL7 is loud at all. That aside.. Tire and tire pressure will be th elargest factor on road noise.. Raise th epressure to lessen noise.

how about your built in mini container at the back flooring, is it a little noisy at bumpy roads? coz i can hear the plastic sound every time it vibrates.......hopefully it will all be gone when i get to install my dream calmini upgrade kit

Default In my experiance....

I own a 1985 blazer that my wifes biggest complaints is road noise. The truck didn't have carpet, or any insulation, so I bought carpet and put in insulation, and it quieted down quite a bit. Now since your zuk should already have carpet and insulation, from my experience the noise is then in the tires. my 85 blazer has some BFG AT tires, and they are the loudest thing about that truck. They are louder than the diesel engine! I'm looking forward to when they wear out so I can get quieter tires. So in my experience, 60-70 percent of road noise is the tires.

you should look into a product called dynamat i recently just purchased a tracker and i was a little conserned with the road noise so i started to dynamat the vehicles outer panels and what a difference it has made night and day my little tracker sounds like a cadilliac ( when you close the doors and while driving there is virtually no noise the panals are made very thin on todays cars and trucks so applying dynamat to those thin panals adds mass and deadens the sound hope this helps out
