Power Door Locks

I have noticed that the verona has a central locking system when you press the remote once or turn the key once all the doors unlock, koreans cars have improved alot over the years but it still doesnt discourage me from getting one.

A nice improvement would be to have the "trunk open" button disconected and sound the horn insteasd!
Have on 4 ocaision to get out of the car to close the trunk when trying to put the key in the ignition.
pressing on the key will open the trunk!
Sounding the horn will allow me to find the car on a parking lot instead!

This really doesn't have to do "with" the door locks, but I wanted to add a comment about the key remote. I really like it, but I wish it had a "panic" button (to manually set off the alarm)... It really helps when you've lost your car in a parking lot (yes, we've all done it) ... ~giggle~

I used to be notorious for locking my keys in the car. Since I got the Epica, I've discovered it is almost impossible to lock them in there (unless you lock the car, then open the trunk and lose 'em in there).

I really like the set-up on the Epica's key. No gawky seperate remote to take up space in my pocket. Just one simple little piece. The batteries are a breeze to replace too. No need to lose a fingernail trying to pry the **** thing open.

Only complaint is that it will cost you a fortune to replace lost keys, so hang on to them and don't lose track of them!

Panic button or none, "double click button" or just "one click button" to lock makes no matter to me. I will never buy another car that doesn't have keyless entry.

I agree with you Escott. They did a great job with the keyless entry system on this car. Did you know that in addition to the lock/unlock buttons on both front doors and the remote transmitter, you can lock/unlock all doors by pushing up or down on the drivers door lock? I just stumbled on it the other day.

Just don't try to lock your door with it open or the lock defeat may decide to break. I have a dual set of keys, and about the only thing that's annoying about this setup is the fact that you absolutely need a second set just to lock your door if you have your car running but you are on the outside of it. Unless you install an automatic starter, you can't just take the lock keyfob with you while the ignition key is placed with the car running, something I had the freedom to enjoy before.
