Default (first post) transmission and looking TO INCREASE HP IN 2004 VERONA

i want to "unlock" the horsepower hidden in the car which has been restrickted in the US. any ideas?
i also have issue with the transmission, the gears shift very weird is that true with all veronas or just mine? help PLEASE!!

Transmission uses fuzzy logic to "learn" the drivers driving style. If multiple people drive the car the trans is lost.
I personally think the Verona has the worst shift logic of any car I have ever driven. They tell us to drive the car "hard" for 5 minutes to cause a shift to perfomance mode, which increases shift speed. You be the judge.
