I hope I no long work at Suzuki with these bastardized cars start showing up. I anticipate nothing but problems. Japanese and German get into bed and make a car together = not good. Just in my opinion. Keep in mind the VW dealer is owned by the same group that owns Suzuki dealer in my city so I've seen the nasty things that explode on VWs.

Cool

I know VW has changed a lot over the years since a VW was a BUG with a two cylinder, 750cc engine. But still, whenever I hear the name VW, I think of that noisy little Bug.
I just can't wrap my mind around a VW/Suzuki love affair. WHY?
Who would really benefit from that marriage?

A new Buick is being made in Germany. What's up with that?
I saw a video of that car being tested on NuerburgRing.

All around the world, we're seeing companies that used to be competitors, now collaborating and sharing technology.

Default Vw does not love Suzuki anymore

Stop it guys, the love affair between VW and Suzuki is over, don't worry! They went to bed and after sobering up they parted ways for good. Hate to see a good German design all screwed up by a Japanese Suzuk
I guess you understand by now that i don't like my Suzu anymore!

Considering the reliability rating of the Mexican built Golfs and Jettas they sell here, the Suzuki/VW divorce is a good thing!

They need to make it lighter, more aerodynamic and with a nicer engine. Those economy figures are terrible for a 1.3 litre engine. But the overall technical simplicity should be maintained...
