2009 Sx4 Sport owner here since new. Love it. Haven't had a single problem with the car, and its done some serious offroading in that time. Got about 80,000km on her now, and no sign of slowing down!

I just traded my wife 2008 sx4 for a 2013 before they run out. My dealer has been buying up all the sx4 from other dealers. My 2011 sx4 just turned 60000 miles.

2008 fwd.
141,000 kms= that's 87,000 miles.
No problems yet- still on the original rear brakes! Although that will change in a couple of months.
Nothing except routine maintenance so far.
Love this vehicle.

Here's hoping the engine bearing failure bug does not hit your SX4

Default 2007 SX4 183,000 miles.

Rear wheel bearing under warranty (80 thousand). At about 140 thousand I had a shop remove the front exhaust manifold heat shield while looking for a rattle and not replace it....don't ever do that. Here is what happened: I was sitting at a traffic light and I heard a funny buzzing noise that lasted only a second or two. In a few days I notice the coolant is low. Start checking around and I find that the passenger side fan and hub is rattling around in the shroud. I take a closer look and the fan/hub failed right where the plastic blade is bonded onto a metal center hub. Upon further review I find the fan shroud/electric fan motor mount is actually melted and mis-shaped. The manifold heat transferred to the metal plate behind the fan motor and then transferred right up the three mounting bolts to the motor and then to the hub and the fan just fell off the hub. The fan was obviously spinning when it went and dropped into the radiator cutting many tubes as it went. The shop noted what I surmised happened and covered it all. Wrecking yard fan, fan motor and radiator. Then they fabricated a new heat shield. Old slightly melted shroud still worked fine. Still working.
I have the front passenger seat cushion air bag sensor issue and have had since about 60 thousand miles or so. Fought with Suzuki over that but lost. I had 130k miles when they extended the warranty but the cutoff was 120k. I complained to the NHTSA, and the State attorney general. Now they are recalled so I will eventually get one I think. Got the recall letter and called nearest dealer but the said they had no stock and that they would send a second letter when the new seats were shipped.....still waiting.......
Now I have to replace the cat because it's rattling.

Wow mjuenem

My heat shield on the manifold is loose but bolts are rusted good. I'm not gonna mess with it.

Also have an exhaust rattle at idle. Maybe its the cat as well. I'm not gonna mess with that either.
I currently have 106,000 miles on the odometer.
I just got my seat cushion recall the other day but I don't care. Its not gettin done. I had it in the shop a couple years ago for the seat cushion and they reset it.
I've been doin the routine maintenance but that's as far as it goes.
The first sign of something big going wrong I'm gettin rid of it.
I've had three Suzukis but I'm done without support and parts on hand. It was a real chore to have a front wheel bearing done a while back.

I have a 2009 SX4 Sport sedan (6-speed manual) with about 73,000 km. I bought it new in 2010. I wouldn't really consider that high mileage yet. I've had practically no problems with it, other than an airbag light that needed re-programming. My nearest "dealer" (AKA Suzuki service facility) is about an hour away, so I take it to the local Ford dealer for most maintenance.
It works great, even at autoslalom!
