problems with timeing chain? input please

I just purchased a 2003 suzukie sx with some front end damage got the car to start drove it 6 miles started smokin a lil turned it off pushed it the rest. Got a new battery can smell gas when I try to start it. It sounds like a lawn mower that just keeps turning over. Got spark however put a compression check on and 3 out of 4 had none the other only 4p the top chain might be a lil loose?

If it's a 2003 it won't be an SX4.

If you're serious find out what model you really have and post in that forum.
