Default Garmin FM Transmitter when cradled

Has anyone been successfull in using the Garmin FM transmitter while the unit is cradled? Mine always switches the radio to "Telephone" when I cradle it with the transmitter on. It seems to automatically turn the FM transmitter off. Except for one time. I really want to be able to listen to mp3s out of all 4 speakers without having to rip them to disks.

Also, has anyone used the MP3 cable accessory on the SX4 with the Garmin? It says the it won't work. I don't want to spend $65 on a cable that won't work with my Zune. This is from Suzuki's web site:

"Auxiliary Audio Input Adaptor
MSRP $67.95*
SKU 990B0-95002With this cable, you can connect virtually any audio device with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack to the factory stereo. (will not work with road trip equipped SX4 vehicles)"

All all new SX4's "road trip" equipped vehicles?

Thanks!
