SX4 Oil pan

Took our 08 SX4 Crossover in for an oil change @ 9,000 miles. Our mechanic told me he wanted to show me something on the oil pan. Where the indents are, the aluminum has cracks the length of the indents. There are no leaks yet, but he said it looked like deep stress cracks probably caused when the pan was cast. These were not evident on the first two oil changes. Took the car to the nearest dealer, and was told it will be replaced under warranty.
They called me back a week later, and said the oil pan is on back order. Apparently, there is a problem with a lot of pans. Was told if I notice oil leakeage to call. They can epoxy it temporarily if need be. Everyone may want to check theirs out.

I haven't seen ANY issues like that on SX-4s around here. Only SX4 oil pan I've replaced was because something got caught between the RF axle and slammed itself into the oil pan. Popped a hole straight thru.
